Dear Friends,
Today, we reach out from VARDA HQ with a heartfelt invitation and open arms, hoping to encourage you to #vistvalemount.
As many of you know, our community has been deeply affected by the recent wildfires and the resulting highway closures. These challenges have put a strain on our local businesses and our once-bustling village, which thrives on the stoke and excitement of visitors like you.
Despite the challenges, Valemount is very much open and eager to welcome you. While we are diligently supporting our friends and family affected by the Jasper wildfire, it’s important to know that our town is far from being full. The perception that Valemount is at capacity is simply not true. We are facing a significant dip in visitor numbers, and our community could greatly benefit from your support.
We fully understand that access from the east is currently limited due to the highway closure. However, we also know that Valemount holds a special place in the hearts of many who have visited us before. If you’re able to, we warmly invite you to come and experience Valemount once again.
Right now, our trails are in perfect condition, with a deliciously tacky dirt that makes for excellent hiking and biking. The alpine vistas are as breathtaking as ever, the fish are eagerly biting, and our waters are refreshingly cold. Most importantly, our renowned hospitality is ready and waiting to make your visit memorable.
The staff at VARDA are here to assist you with anything you need to ensure your trip is a success. Whether it’s planning your adventure or offering local tips, we’re just a phone call or an email away.
Please consider visiting us and lending your support to our community during this challenging time. We can’t wait to share the beauty and spirit of Valemount with you.
Wishing you all the best and hoping to see you soon,
Warm regards,
Curtis Pawliuk
