VARDA Alpine Area Cleanup September 22/23rd

We area very sorry, due to snow in the alpine areas, we have had to cancel this event

On Saturday, September 23rd VARDA will be hosting an alpine cleanup day in each of our three main riding areas (participation dependent) Three groups will head head out into the areas lead by VARDA representatives for a day of hiking around the accessible areas cleaning up anything we find.

The areas will be initially accessed by ATVs although the ATV use will be extremely limited and the majority of the day will be spent hiking around on foot to protect our fragile alpine environments. Don’t worry, if you are not a hiker, we still need you as there are areas that are very easily accessible with little effort!

It is ambitious and we need help from our friends! Participants would need an ATV or side by side, if you have a small atv trailer, that is a big asset as well.

Friday the 22nd we plan to meet at the Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites for a pre-cleanup meeting at 8pm. We will organize into groups and plan for the following day.

Saturday will be spent in the field and during the evening we will return to Valemount where VARDA would like to host everyone for an evening of BBQ and Three Ranges Brewing Company refreshments !
